Elwis Johnson always knew he was going to come home.
Johnson, who graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2006, epitomizes what it means to be entrenched in the financial services industry for nearly two decades in the Pierce County region.
Johnson grew up in Tacoma and purchased his dream home in the coveted North End of the city in the summer of 2020. Starting out a career in financial services in 2006 as a credit manager, helping people improve their credit, moved into lending both personal and business and eventually in 2014 he was licensed for investments. After spending a little over 6 years running his office at Edward Jones Investments, he realized he could better serve his clients and leave a legacy for his family by opening his own practice as an independent financial advisor. HIs realized that dream in the spring of 2023, opening the doors to his brand-new business, Johnson Wealth Advisors in Lakewood. Elwis is a literal wealth of financial knowledge and knows what it takes to succeed with his keen mind for strategizing, crafting retirement plans, assisting with estate planning, preparing for the unexpected and helping to set up his clients for life.
Elwis is a proud father of nine children (five girls, four boys) and is happily married to his lovely wife, Dawn. The couple is heavily involved in a myriad of community activities. You can find Elwis selflessly committing himself to a multitude of area events on a weekly basis. He is a proud board member on the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, current president of the local chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., board member (past chair) for the Metropolitan Development Council, former board member of the College Success Foundation Alumni services, which helps minority students attain their goal of attending four-year colleges. Elwis was the first member of his family to earn a bachelor’s degree and is a prime example of the American Dream coming to fruition.
